LOUDON, Tenn. – Paced by sophomore Grayson Bell's 1-over-par 73, the Anderson men's golf team wrapped up the regular season with a 10th-place finish at the Third Annual Tennessee River Rumble, which was hosted by Lincoln Memorial at the 7,136-yard, par 72 Tennessee National Golf Club layout.

After having Monday's opening round washed out due to heavy rain, the host Railsplitters won the event for the second time in three years, edging Carson-Newman – last year's champion - by four strokes. Mars Hill was two shots further back, with Wingate and Lee sharing fourth place. Tusculum claimed sixth place and Brevard finished seventh.

Lincoln Memorial (B) claimed eighth, while Lenoir-Rhyne, Anderson, Walters State Community College and Catawba rounded out the 12-team field.

Tusculum's David Whinery (32-35=67) edged LMU's Sam Broadhurst (34-34=68) for medalist honors, with Lee's Matt Strube (34-35=69) finishing third.

AU's Grayson Bell finished in a six-way tie for 15th, while graduate student Weston Bell, who was coming off a second-place finish at last week's Bearcat Classic, claimed a share of 30th place. Freshman Jake Miller finished in a tie for 51st, with sophomore David Monroe and senior Payton Whitlock each claiming a share of 62nd.

Following a three-week layoff, the Trojans are slated to compete at the South Atlantic Conference Championship, April 23-25, in Salisbury, N.C.
