Trojans Win BMW Intercollegiate

TIGERVILLE, S.C. -- Adam Sheriff fired a final round of 2-under 70 to lead Anderson University to a first-place finish in the BMW Intercollegiate at the Cherokee Valley Golf Club Tuesday. Anderson shot a 301 in the second round for a 36-hole total of 606 in the 10-team event and an 11-shot victory over Mobile. Limestone (619) was third, host North Greenville (620) was fourth, and Spartanburg Methodist (623) was fifth. Steven Brame of Cape Fear shot a 1-under 71 in the second round on the par-72, 6,586-yard Cherokee Valley course to hang on to the individual title. Brame finished with a total of 140, three shots ahead of Sheriff, and six shots ahead of Anderson's Kurt Owings. Chad Skinner of Mars Hill and Matt Parzaile of Southeastern tied for fourth at 147. Following Sheriff for Anderson in the second round were Owings 74, Will Ferguson 77, and Kenny Shockley 80.
