Fourth-Seeded Trojans Set to Face Fifth-Seeded Tusculum at the NCAA Southeast Regionals

ANDERSON, S.C. – The Anderson University softball team has earned a fourth-seed in the NCAA's Southeast Region and will face fifth-seeded Tusculum on Wednesday, as announced by the NCAA selection Committee late Sunday evening.

WHO: No. 4 Anderson vs No. 5 Tusculum

WHAT: NCAA Southeast Regionals

WHEN: Wednesday, May 19 at 12 pm

WHERE: Dahlonega, Ga. (Haines & Carolyn Hill Stadium at Lynn Cottrell Park)

SERIES HISTORY: Anderson holds a slim 15-13 overall advantage over the Pioneers. The teams split during regular season play and Tusculum eliminated the Black and Gold from the SAC Tournament semifinals with a heartbreaking, 2-1, loss.

NOTE: Wednesday's contest will mark the fifth overall appearance by Anderson with the Trojans winning its first ever Southeast Regional in 2013, before falling in the Super Regionals to Armstrong Atlantic. In 2019, AU lost to SAC foe Lincoln Memorial, 4-3, in the Southeast Regional Finals.
