ROCK HILL, S.C.- Anderson University softball freshman pitcher Laken Maxwell was named The South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Softball Pitcher of the Week for games played in the third weekend of the 2021 season.
Maxwell, continues to dominate the mound as the Trojans went 2-0 this past week. In their game versus Lees-McRae she only allowed one run and three hits while striking out 11 batters. Maxwell went on to strike out 12 batters and give up no runs versus Chowan. Overall, she went 14 innings allowing just six hits, two walks and striking out 23. This is Maxwell's second consecutive Pitcher of the Week honor of the season.
