ROCK HILL, S.C. - After tossing back-to-back no-hitters last weekend, sophomore Lauren Rudesheim has been tabbed AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Softball Pitcher of the Week, as announced by the league office.

With the two wins, the right-hander helped the Trojans secure the second seed in this week's SAC Tournament. She was just one walk away from recording the second perfect game of the season for the Anderson pitching staff, which would have been just the second in the league since 2006 and ninth in league history.

Rudesheim posted a 0.00 ERA and struck out 13 batters in 10.0 innings of work on the week. She recorded a no-hitter against Brevard after striking out seven Tornados and walking six, for her 13th complete game of the season and followed up 24 hours later by retiring the first seven Coker batters she faced in an eventual 13-0, five-inning victory. She struck out six Cobras and walked just the one batter.

She leads the team with 29 appearances on the season, while ranking sixth in the SAC by tossing four shutouts in 14 complete games. Rudesheim is fourth in the league with a 2.03 ERA and her 14 wins on the season ranks fifth in the league.
