ATLANTA - With freshman Cailah Niles hammering the Trojans' second grand slam in as many days, Anderson swept a doubleheader from Clark Atlanta, 14-0 and 13-1, in nonconference softball action Saturday afternoon at Lady Panthers Field.
Anderson improved to 15-3 on the season with the two wins, while Clark Atlanta fell to 0-11.

Anderson 14, Clark Atlanta 0 (5 innings)
Junior Molly Child led the way offensively in the opener, going
2-for-3, with a two-run homer in the first inning, while adding a
single and a walk in four trips to the plate. Freshman Chelsea
Jones was 2-for-4, with a two-run double in the second
inning.
Sophomore Lauren Rudesheim improved to 6-2 on the season by striking out nine Lady Panthers and walking just one, while limiting Clark Atlanta to a lone single in five innings of work.

Niles blasted her grand slam with two outs in the top of the first
inning after also posting a single earlier in the frame. She also
tallied a third-inning single and drove in five runs. Freshman
shortstop Carli Hurtado was 2-for-2, with a pair of singles and
also added a walk and a pair of stolen bases.
Sophomore right-hander Augie Pena improved to 6-0 on the year by allowing just one run on two hits over five full innings. She struck out nine and did not walk a batter.
The Trojans travel to Peach Belt Conference opponent Young
Harris on Sunday for a 1 p.m. doubleheader.
