FLORENCE, S.C. -- The Anderson College softball team finished the three-day Francis Marion Invitational with a record of 2-3. On Friday, Anderson beat Bluefield State, 4-2 and lost to North Florida, 12-0. In the Bluefield game, Anderson pitcher Stephanie Griffis allowed just four hits and struck out 10. Anderson's offense was led by Jessica Hoffman (3-3) and Carolyn Smith (2-3). In Saturday action, Anderson lost to Augusta State, 10-4. On Sunday, Anderson beat North Carolina Central, 8-2 and lost to Lander 10-9 in nine innings. Rachelle Lawrence and Maranda Passmore had two hits apiece for Anderson in the North Carolina Central game. Anderson is now 12-21 overall this season. Anderson College Softball Season Statistics
