ANDERSON, S.C. – The Anderson University men's and women's track and field teams are getting ready to host the first ever outdoor track meet held on campus, as the 2022 Trojan Opener is scheduled for Friday and Saturday (Mar. 18 – Mar. 19).
"We are overwhelmingly excited to host our very own track and field meet here on campus," said coach Kevin Eagle. "Our student-athletes, coaches, and administrators have been looking forward to this day for some time now. It will be a monumental weekend for Anderson University and our program. I hope that our friends, families, and supporters enjoy this meet as much as we will!"
Augusta, Catawba, Erskine, Lenoir-Rhyne, Limestone, Mars Hill, Newberry, North Georgia, North Greenville, Southern Wesleyan, and Spartanburg Methodist are among the visiting teams participating in the meet.
The action on Friday is slated to begin at 2:00 p.m. with the field events, and the track event beginning at 5:00 p.m. and 11:00 a.m. on Saturday for both track and field. Live results are available at www.autrojans.com.
