Quillen Sets 3,000m SC Anderson School Record at Lee Last Chance Meet

CLEVELAND, Tenn. – The Anderson University men's and women's track and field teams completed the Lee Last Chance Meet on Saturday (May 14) in Cleveland, Tennessee.

Philip Quillen, Jodi Ann Martin, Lacey Boozer, Olivia Rish, and Emily Golden were the five Anderson athletes to travel for the meet. Quillen's time of 9:01.39 in the 3,000m SC headlined the weekend for the Trojans, finishing in seventh place and setting a new school record, which he has broken three times this season. At the SAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships last week, Quillen finished third in a time of 9:04.12.

Lacey Boozer ran well for the Trojans as she finished ninth in the 400 dash (57.70) and ran the 200m in a time of 25.88. Olivia Rish recorded a top-10 finish in the 800m with a time of 2:13.23. Emily Golden ran the 1500m at a pace of 4:56.73.
