Catawba Slips Past Trojans; 5-4

SALISBURY, N.C. - The Anderson University men's tennis team dropped its midweek South Atlantic Conference match against Catawba, 5-4, on Wednesday afternoon at the Johnson Tennis Center.

The setback drops the Trojans to 11-5 overall and 5-2 in conference action while the Indians improve to 3-8 overall and 1-5 in SAC play.

Down 2-1 after the doubles portion, the Trojans only won three of the six singles to come up one point short necessary to defeat Catawba.

Doubles tandem Ignacio Bidegain and Preston Morpeth picked up the lone doubles point improving their season record to 12-1 overall.

Anderson remains on the road to face SAC opponent Lincoln Memorial on Wednesday. First-serve is slated for 2 p.m.
