ROCK HILL, S.C. – Anderson University men's tennis trio juniors Tomas Depiaggio and Hufelder Duarte and sophomore Ignacio Bidegain were recognized by the South Atlantic Conference, as Bidegain was picked to the All-SAC First Team singles, while Depiaggio and Duarte earned All-SAC Second Team honors in doubles action, announced by the league office on Wednesday.
At the No. 1 singles flight for the Trojans, Bidegain compiled an overall record of 13-6 and a 6-4 conference record. The native of Buenos Aires stellar play helped the Black and Gold earn a No. 23 national ranking in late March.
Trojan duo Depiaggio and Duarte finished the regular season with a 5-8 overall record and 4-4 record in SAC play. Depiaggio and Duarte defeated All-SAC honorees from Queens while taking several others to the wire.
Anderson travels to Newberry to square off in the quarterfinal round of the SAC Championship. First serve is slated for 3 p.m.
