Baseball Team Completes Recruiting Class

ANDERSON, S.C. - The Anderson University baseball program has completed its 2007 signing class with the addition of four players, AU head coach Joe Miller announced Saturday. The four new signees increase the class total to 11 for the Trojans. The signees are: Greg Dunston, a 6-foot-3, 190-pound righthanded pitcher from Columbia, S.C.; Nolan Kolb, a 6-0, 180-pound righthanded pitcher from Salem, S.C.; Ryan Saxon, a 5-7, 170-pound infielder from Greenville, S.C.; and Zak Stuck, a 6-3, 175-pound outfielder from Miamisburg, Ohio. Miller expects Dunston and Kolb to make early contributions to the pitching staff. "Greg, who played for Ben Lippen's state championship runnerup team in 2007, has a great pitcher's build and a huge upside," Miller said. "He possesses a mid-80s fastball and an above average slider. Nolan, who played at Walhalla High School, has a chance to be a premier pitcher at the college level. He has an upper 80s fastball and a solid mental approach." Saxon, who played at Wade Hampton High School, played several positions for the Generals. "Ryan has great hands and is a line drive hitter with some juice in his bat," Miller said. Miller believes Stuck's athleticism will help in the outfield. "Zak has great speed," he said. "He gets great jumps and has the potential to hit for power at the plate."
