North Georgia Comeback Nips Trojans, 7-4

DAHLONEGA, Ga. -- Kyle Potts had two RBI singles to lead North Georgia to a 7-4 come-from-behind victory over Anderson College in a non-conference game Tuesday night. North Georgia, 37-12 overall, jumped out to a 2-0 lead, but Anderson scored four times in the fifth to seize a 4-2 lead. In the Anderson fifth, Joe Whitham and Jonathan Pitts had RBI singles and Jared Taylor had two-run double. But the Trojans, 13-27, could not hold on. In the North Georgia sixth, the Saints pushed across three runs. Creston Warner and Potts both had RBI singles in the inning. North Georgia added two insurance runs in the eighth on Potts' second run-scoring single of the game and an Anderson error. The final three batters in North Georgia's lineup had five of the Saints' nine hits and drove in six runs. Anderson plays host to Newberry for a non-conference doubleheader Wednesday beginning at 4 p.m.
