Women’s Track and Field Slips to Ninth in Southeast Region

NEW ORLEANS - The Anderson University women's track and field team slipped from eighth to ninth in the Southeast Region in the latest U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Outdoor poll, released Tuesday afternoon.

South Atlantic Conference member Queens remained at the top of the rankings for the third consecutive week, while Wingate vaulted four spots to claim the second slot in the poll.

Peach Belt Conference-member Columbus State slipped one spot to third, with Mount Olive taking fourth after moving up three slots. Clayton State dropped two spots this week after moving up two spots from fifth to third a week ago.

UNC Pembroke and Limestone are ranked sixth and seventh, respectively, with Montevallo, Anderson and Mars Hill rounding out the top 10. Limestone and Barton fell from this week's rankings.
