Women’s Track and Field Remains Steady at Seventh in Southeast Region

NEW ORLEANS - Prior to opening its outdoor slate at Wingate's Tri-Meet on Saturday, the Anderson University women's track and field team remained steady at No. 7 in the Southeast Region in the latest U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Indoor poll.

For the first time this season, the top eight teams in the poll remained the same, with fellow South Atlantic Conference member Queens remaining at the top of the rankings for the third consecutive week.

Conference Carolinas' member Mount Olive stayed in the second spot, with Wingate in third. Clayton State remained fourth this week, while King and Limestone were fifth and sixth, respectively, just ahead of the Trojans. Mars Hill remained eighth, while Limestone made an appearance at ninth after moving up two spots. Belmont Abbey dropped one notch to 10th, with Barton falling out of the top-10.
