Women’s Track and Field Ranked Eighth in Southeast Region

NEW ORLEANS - Following its outdoor season debut at Charlotte's 49er Classic last week, the Anderson University women's track and field team is ranked eighth in the Southeast Region in the latest U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Outdoor poll, released Tuesday afternoon.

South Atlantic Conference member Queens is at the top of the rankings for the second consecutive week, while the next four spots are occupied by teams from the Peach Belt Conference. Columbus State vaulted from fourth to second in the poll, while Clayton State moved up two spots from fifth to third. Montevallo and UNC Pembroke are ranked fourth and fifth, respectively.

Wingate, Mount Olive, Anderson, Limestone and Barton rounded out the top 10.
