Women’s Track and Field Stays Steady at No. Five in Southeast Region

NEW ORLEANS - The Anderson University women's indoor track and field team remained fifth in the latest Southeast Region in the latest U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) poll, released Tuesday afternoon.

The Trojans, who were fourth in the regional rankings two weeks ago before slipping to fifth in last week's poll, were originally slated to compete in the UCS Invitational last weekend before Winter Storm Pax moved through the region.

Wingate remained second this week, while regional powerhouse Mount Olive dropped two slots to third with Queens vaulting from 13th to tops in the region.

Clayton State slipped from third to fourth, just ahead of Anderson, while King, Limestone, Mars Hill, Belmont Abbey and Barton rounded out the top 10.

North Greenville dropped out of this week's top-10.

The Trojans are slated to get back in action at the USC Invitational on Saturday.
