Trojan Track and Field Set to Compete at Weems Baskin Invitational

ANDERSON, S.C. – The Anderson University track and field teams are slated to compete at the Weems Baskin Invitational, which is being hosted by South Carolina, Friday and Saturday at the Sheila & Morris Cregger Track in Columbia, S.C.

Field Events are scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. both days, with the track events beginning at 3:15 p.m. on Friday and 10 a.m. on Saturday.

The Trojans are coming off an indoor season that saw eight individuals capture All-Southeast region accolades. Junior Abigail Bozarth, senior Emily Pitts, freshman Olivia Rish and junior Madison Seay earned the honor for their performances in the distance medley relay, while junior JoLyn Copeland garnered the recognition for her work in the weight throw.

Both freshman Olivia Evans and junior Allyson Malone captured the honor for performances in the 5,000 meter run. Senior Mason Hazel earned the recognition for his performance in the 5,000 meters, which also earned him a berth in the NCAA National Championships.
