Trojan Track & Field Teams Wrap up Indoor season at JDL Last Chance

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The Anderson University track and field teams recorded five top-10 finishes Sunday at the JDL Last Chance Meet, which was hosted Sunday at the JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem, N.C.

Senior Mason Hazel won the men's 3,000 meters in a time of 8:32.33, with freshman Joey Teachout claiming 13th place in a time of 9:04.78. Freshman Ben Clark crossed the finish line in sixth place in the mile run in a time of 4:25.52.

On the women's side, junior Abigail Bozarth finished second in the women's 3,000 meters in a time of 10:44.63, while freshman Olivia Evans finished ninth in the mile run in a time of 5:13.70 and teammate Morgan Bridges claimed 10th in a time of 5:17.69. Freshman Hannah Beach (5:33.78) finished in 14th place.

The Trojans will open their outdoor slate, Friday, March 23, at the Weems Baskin Invitational in Columbia, S.C.
