Senior track standout Mason Hazel will be the lone AU participant at the Camel City Invite, as the Summerville, S.C., native will compete in the men's 3,000 meter run, which is the final event Friday night at the JDL Fast Track.

Friday's spectator admission is $7 for adults and $5 for students 12 and older. Children under 12 are free.

Friday and Saturday marks the fourth consecutive appearance by the Trojans at the two-day Buccaneer Invitational, which will be held inside the Mountain States Health Alliance Athletics Center. It will be the final event of the Trojans' indoor schedule before they travel back to the JDL Fast Track for the South Atlantic Conference Championships on Monday, Feb. 19.

The Buccaneer Invitational is slated to get underway Friday, with the women's 60 meter hurdle preliminaries at 10:30 a.m. Track events will begin at noon with the women's weight throw.

In AU's appearance at ETSU a year ago, Hazel won the men's 3,000 meter run in a school-record time of 8:30.26, while Haylee Love captured second in the women's mile run in a time of 5:09.63, which was just 12 seconds off yet another school-record mark.

The tandem of Martha Coleman (18:42.53) and Abigail Bozarth (18:47.51) claimed sixth and seventh, respectively, in the 3,000 meter run.
