PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - Sophomore Mason Hazel crossed the line in a time of 14:56.34 and finished 57th in the 5000 meter run Thursday night at the 2016 Penn Relays.
The All-South Atlantic Conference runner bettered his time at the SAC Championships two weeks ago by nearly three seconds.
In February, Hazel won the indoor 5000 meter run at Grand Valley State's Big Meet in a school-record time of 14:37.58 and followed up with a fourth place at the Florida Relays in a time of 14:26.89.
