Men’s Track and Field Ranked Eighth in Southeast Region; Women’s Track and Field Squad in 10th

NEW ORLEANS - On the heels of the Charlotte 49er Classic, the Anderson University men's outdoor track and field team is ranked eighth in the Southeast Region, while the women's squad is 10th in the latest U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) poll, as released on Tuesday.

This week's men's rankings saw Mount Olive vault into the top spot after opening the season ranked ninth in the region. Limestone remained second, while Columbus State tumbled out of the top spot into third. Lenoir-Rhyne, the highest-ranked of five squads from the South Atlantic Conference, is fourth, while UNC Pembroke fell three spots from second to fifth. Wingate, Queens, Anderson, Carson-Newman and North Greenville rounded out the poll.

Queens is atop the women's rankings, while Montevallo, UNC Pembroke and Lenoir-Rhyne occupied the second, third and fourth spots. Wingate and Mount Olive were fifth and sixth, respectively, while Clayton State, Augusta, Limestone and Anderson finished out the standings.
