GAINESVILLE, Fla. - Four runners from the Anderson men's track team posted strong performances Thursday at the 2016 Pepsi Florida Relays, which are being hosted by the Gators at the Percy Beard Track.
Sophomores Christopher Burton and Caleb Stephenson opened AU's participation in the three-day event with strong finishes in Thursday afternoon's 200 meter dash. Burton finished 27th in a time of 21.35, with Stephenson garnering 47th in a time of 22.11.
Fellow sophomore Mason Hazel captured fourth in the final event of the day - the men's 5000 meter run with a time of 14:26.89, while junior Ben Boerma was 46th in a time of 15:55.36.
Junior standout Olivia Gardner will run in Friday's women's steeplechase, which is tentatively scheduled for 9:20 p.m.
