WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - With four players reaching double figures, No. 23 Winston-Salem used a balanced offensive attack to get past Anderson, 74-56, in nonconference men's basketball action Saturday night at the C.E Gaines Center.

Playing its third contest in four days and coming off a convincing exhibition win past the College of Charleston, Anderson (6-3) suffered back-to-back losses for the first time this season, while Winston-Salem improved to 7-2 with its sixth straight victory and remained undefeated (5-0) at home on the season.

The Rams opened the game with a 10-1 run, as the Trojans opened cold from the field and did not score a field goal until forward Bo Holston dropped in a layup with 14:30 on the clock.

The Trojans battled back behind a 12-4 run to trim the Winston-Salem lead to just one, at 14-13, midway through the opening frame, with Holston tossing in four points during the rally. Guards Chandler Hash and Denzail Jones each connected on 3-pointers and forward Kyle Sledge capped the run with a layup.

Trailing, 30-26, after Jones sank one-of-two from the line with just more than four minutes left in the half, the Rams scored the final 12 points of the frame to take a 42-26 advantage at the break.

The Trojans cut the deficit to eight points twice in the final 20 minutes, but were unable to get any closer.

Jones led all scorers with 13 points, while Holston added 10 points and handed out a team-high three assists for the Trojans. Sophomores Myson Jones and Alani Adekambi each netted six points off the bench, with Adekambi recording a team-high four rebounds.

Sophomore Wykevin Bazemore, Dominic Alston and Victor Holloway each tallied 11 points for the Rams, with Bazemore completing the double-double with 10 rebounds. Wakefield Ellison tossed in 10 points on the night.

The Trojans will look to get back in the win column as they wrap up their four-game road swing by visiting Young Harris on Wednesday for their final nonconference game of the season before taking a three-week break over the Christmas holiday.
