Rock Hill, S.C. –Anderson University women's basketball graduate student Shameka Neill earns this week's South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Women's Basketball Player of the Week for games played in the eleventh week of the 2021-21 season.
McNeill, helped lead the Trojans to a 2-0 record this past weekend, picking up 25 points, two steals, five three-pointers and 11 rebounds in their win over Mars Hill while garnering 24 points, three assists and three-pointers and three rebounds in a win over Limestone. Overall, the Charlotte, N.C., native averaged 41.7 percent from the floor, 24.5 points per game and 7.0 rebounds per game. McNeill currently leads the league in scoring with a 21.6 points per game average. This is McNeill's first Player of the Week honor this season.
