Women’s Track and Field Climbs into Regional Top-10 Rankings

NEW ORLEANS – On the strength of stellar outings on back-to-back weekends, the Anderson University women's outdoor track and field team is ranked 10th in the season's third U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) poll.

Half of the teams in the rankings are from the South Atlantic Conference, with three hailing from the Peach Belt and a pair from Conference Carolinas. Mount Olive overtook Montevallo for the top spot this week, with the No.3 through No. 9 slots remaining unchanged from a week ago.

UNC Pembroke was third, with Queens holding the No. 4 spot. Wingate, Southern Wesleyan, Lenoir-Rhyne, Coker and Augusta were fifth through ninth, respectively, with the Trojans vaulting four spots to claim the 10th spot in the poll.

The Trojans care slated to compete this weekend at the Susan Rouse Invitational in Central, S.C.
