Lady Trojans Finish Seventh At Catawba

SALISBURY, N.C. -- The Anderson women's golf team finished seventh in the 10-team Patsy Rendleman Invitational Tuesday at the Country Club of Salisbury. Host Catawba shot a 317 in a steady rain in the second round to take the title with a 36-hole total of 627, one shot better than second-place Pfeiffer. The Falcons turned in the best second round at 308. Newberry was third at 631, and Wingate was fourth at 345. Anderson shot a 335 in the second round to finish seventh with a total of 671. Sophie Dembroski led Anderson in the second round with an 81. Carlie Eastman shot 82; and Erin May and Jenny Odle both shot 86. Newberry's Franziska Blum won the individual title. She shot even-par 72 in the second round to finish at 2-under 142, nine shots ahead of Brittany Beltran of Pfeiffer.
