Women's Golf Tied For Eighth At Myrtle Beach

LITTLE RIVER, S.C. -- The Anderson University women's golf team is tied for eighth place after the first round of the Lenior-Rhyne Myrtle Beach Intercollegiate Monday at the River Hills Country Club. Anderson is tied with Wingate and Armstrong Atlantic State at 332 after the first round of the 18-team event. Nova Southeastern is the tournament leader at 304. Pfeiffer is second at 315; and West Florida and Newberry are tied for third at 320. Anderson was led in the first round by Sophie Dembroski and Carlie Eastman, who both shot 81. Erin May shot 83, and Jenny Odle added an 87 for Anderson's four scores. The second round will be played on Tuesday.
