Men’s Tennis Set to Play in SAC Tournament

ROCK HILL, S.C. - The Anderson University men's tennis team captured the fourth seed as the South Atlantic Conference Tournament is set to begin on Thursday at Brevard College in Brevard, N.C.

The Trojans finished 13-6 overall and 8-3 in SAC play, highlighted by a 5-4 defeat over the top-seeded Pioneers from Tusculum College. Anderson will square off with #5 seed Newberry on Thursday afternoon with the winner facing Tusculum on Friday.

In the other semifinal matchup, #2 seed Wingate will play either #3 seed Queens University of Charlotte or #6 seed Coker following their quarterfinal contest on Thursday.

The championship match will be played Saturday at 1 p.m. at Brevard, with the winner receiving an automatic bid to the NCAA Division II Tournament.
