Men’s Tennis Falters at Coker; 7-2

ANDERSON, S.C. - Anderson University men's tennis was defeated by Coker on Saturday afternoon in South Atlantic Conference action at the Coker Tennis Courts.

The Trojans fall to 11-6 overall and 8-3 in league play while Coker improves to falls to 6-11 and 4-5 in SAC play.

Coker won two out of the three doubles matches while winning five of the six matches in the singles flight. Trojan tandem Juan Carracedo and Inaki Iriberri picked up a doubles point by defeating Simon Bergbom and Felix Schweyer, 8-6.

In singles action, Inaki Iriberri earned the second point of the day for the Black and Gold setting their final score at two. Veterans Juan Carracedo and Mateo Rivas each battled in the third set of their matches before falling to the Cobras.

Anderson men's tennis continues its road swing when it travels to Due West to face off with nonconference rival Erskine on Monday. The Trojans are looking to gain momentum heading into the SAC tournament at the end of the month. First serve is set for 3:30 p.m.
