AUGUSTA, GA. - Veterans Juan Carracedo and Inaki Iriberri grabbed a
doubles win at the No. 3 position, but it was the lone point for
Anderson University men's tennis, as the Trojans fell to Peach Belt
Conference opponent No. 44 Augusta Tuesday afternoon at the Newman
Tennis Center.
The loss drops Anderson to 6-3 overall, while the Jaguars improve to 9-2 on the year.
Carracedo and Iriberri battled hard to defeat Joao Ferreira and Joao Gabriel Freitas, 8-6 at the No. 3 position, moving Iriberri's overall doubles record to 6-3 on the year.
Anderson returns to the courts on Thursday when it host nonconference competitor, Belmont Abbey. First serve from the AU Tennis Complex is set for 11 a.m.
