Men's Golf Team In 15th Place After First Round

SALISBURY, N.C. -- The Anderson College men's golf team shot a 318 in the first round of the Richard Rendleman Invitational Monday at the Country Club of Salisbury. The Trojans are in 15th place in the 17-team field. Presbyterian had four players at 72 or better to take the first round lead at 279. Presbyterian's Ben Karns is the individual leader after the first round with a 67. Host Catawba is second at 295, Queens (N.C.) is third at 296, and Mars Hill is fourth at 300. Curtis Norwood and Cody Munger led Anderson in the first round with a pair of 78s. Brad Eskierka and Kurt Owings both shot 81 for the Trojans. The second round will be played Tuesday morning.
