Men’s Basketball Wraps up Recruiting Class with Trè Fields

ANDERSON, S.C. - The Anderson University men's basketball team has signed Trèvonn Fields, a 6-foot-5, 190-pound shooting guard from Johnson City, Tenn., as announced by Trojan head coach Jason Taylor on Wednesday.

"Trè has a huge upside," said Taylor. "He has great length and is a very good shooter. He has a great work ethic that will allow him to continue to get stronger and develop his overall game. Trè completes our recruiting class and I could not be more excited about our 2014 class."

Fields was a two-sport letterwinner at Virginia Episcopal School in Lynchburg, Va., competing as a wide receiver for the Bishops, while averaging 15 points, five rebounds and six assists per game last season on the hardwood. He helped lead head coach Curtis Staples' squad to a 23-4 overall record and a berth in the final four of the state tournament en route to earning All-Virginia Independent Conference First-Team recognition.

Fields was also successful off the court, posting a 3.4 GPA and was named to the Headmasters' List at VES.
