KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) today announced rosters and coaches for the 2014 Reese's® Division II College All-Star game, which will be played as part of the 2014 NCAA® Division II Men's Basketball Championship. Reese's is the official candy partner of the NCAA.

After a stellar senior campaign, Anderson University standout guard Chandler Hash has been invited to participate in the annual contest. The Reese's Division II College All-Star game will be played on Friday, March 28, at 7:00 p.m. (EDT, at The Ford Center in Evansville, Ind.

The teams are composed of two senior student-athletes from each of the eight regions in Division II and four at-large selections. The Reese's All-Star game is being played during the 2014 NCAA Men's Division II Elite Eight.

Hash, the South Atlantic Conference Tournament MVP, earned National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) First-Team All-District accolades and Daktronics All-Region First Team honors after being named first-team all-conference for the second consecutive year.

The Greer, S.C. native, helped lead Anderson to its fourth NCAA Southeast Region Tournament appearance in five seasons, while leading the conference and ranking fifth in the nation in scoring at 24.3 points per game. His 778 total points is tops in NCAA Division II this season and marks the second-highest single-season total in league history.

Hash wrapped up his stellar three-year career in third place on Anderson's all-time scoring list with 1,537 career points and his career-high 44-point outburst in the Trojans' win over Coker in the 2014 Food Lion SAC Tournament ranks seventh in the league all-time for points scored in a single game.

I could not be more proud to have him representing Anderson University and the Southeast Region against the best players in the country. I also must admit that I am selfishly excited that I get the opportunity to watch him compete one more time in an Anderson University uniform."

THE COACHES
The game will feature a pair of outstanding former coaches, Wayne Boultinghouse and Steve Newton, both with ties to Evansville and the University of Southern Indiana. Boultinghouse played at the University of Evansville as a player with Jerry Sloan on NCAA Division II championship teams in 1964 and 1965 and was an assistant coach when the Purple Aces won the 1971 Division II title. Boultinghouse coached Southern Indiana (then Indiana State University Evansville), leading the Screaming Eagles to the Division II championship game in 1978. He later coached for six seasons at Kentucky Wesleyan with three Great Lakes Valley Conference championships and four NCAA tournament berths.

Newton was an assistant coach at the University of New Orleans, runner-up to Evansville for the 1975 NCAA Division II title. He was the head coach at Murray State from 1985-91 and led the Racers to four consecutive Ohio Valley Conference titles and postseason tournament appearances. Newton was the head coach at the University of South Carolina from 1991-93. He joined the USI staff as director of athletics in 1995 and retired from that position in 2001.
