NEW ORLEANS - As the Trojans prepare to defend their South Atlantic Conference title, the Anderson women's cross country team is ranked fifth in the Southeast Region in the final regular-season U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association's (USTFCCCA) poll.
The Trojans have been ranked in the top five in the region throughout the 2011 campaign, while competing against top-notch competition.
Anderson captured the 2010 Conference crown and will defend its title on Saturday in Morristown, Tenn. Both the men's and women's events are being hosted by Carson-Newman at Panther Creek State Park.
