ROCK HILL, S.C. - Anderson University senior standout Whitney Bishoff has been named the South Atlantic Conference women's cross country Runner of the Week for the week as announced by the league office Monday afternoon.
Bishoff, a native of Winder, Ga. (Athens Christian), claimed fourth-place overall to pace the Trojans, as Anderson finished seventh at USC Upstate's 28th Annual Eye Opener last Friday night at the Milliken Research Park.
Posting the best time of any non-Division I competitor at the event, Bishoff finished fourth out of a combined total of total of 166 runners, posting a time of 18:06, which shattered her previous best at the event by 33 seconds and was less than a second off her own school-record time of 18:05.06 set last season at Queens.
Anderson will be back in action on Friday, Sept. 16 when the Trojans travel to the Clemson Invitational.
