Bishoff Places 16th at NCAA Outdoor National Championships

TURLOCK, Calif. - Anderson University rising senior Whitney Bishoff was just more than a minute off her school-record time in the 10,000 meter run, claiming 16th place Thursday night at the 2011 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field National Championships, hosted by California State University - Stanislaus, at the Al Brenda Track at Warrior Stadium.

Western Washington senior Sarah Porter won the 10,000 meter event, posting an NCAA Championship record and the fourth fastest in Division II history.

Bishoff, a native of Winder, Ga., holds the school record in the 10,000 meter (35:37.97), setting the new mark in late April at the University of Pennsylvania's Penn Relays.
