ANDERSON, S.C. - Anderson University senior Durecelle Campbell has been named the Southeast Region's Women's Field Athlete of the Year as recently announced by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

The native of Seneca, S.C., led the region in the weight throw by five-and-a-half feet with a season's best of 46-5½ (14.16m) in the weight throw and garnering 11th place at Clemson's Tiger Paw Invitational. Campbell had earlier claimed 15th in the weight throw at 12.12 meters at Clemson's JRF Combined Events Invitational.
