Bryan Named Assistant Women’s Track & Field Coach of the Year

New Orleans - Anderson University assistant cross country and track & field coach Jason Bryan has been named the Southeast Region Assistant Coach of the Year by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

The middle and long distance coach has helped guide Whitney Bishoff to an appearance in the 10,000 meter event at the NCAA Outdoor Championships.

Bryan joined the coaching staff in January, 2009 after earning his B.S. degree in business management from AU and is currently working on his masters degree. The Greenville, S.C., native was a four-year letterwinner in both cross country and track for the Trojans, earning All-Conference accolades in cross country in 2006.

He helped lead AU to its' first ever cross country conference championship, while serving as team captain for cross country and track both his junior and senior campaigns. His responsibilities include recruiting and developing training programs for the Trojans' cross country and distance track events and has helped guide the cross country and track teams into a consistent threat.

Bryan is USATF Level 1 Coaching Certified.
