ANDERSON, S.C. – Anderson University women's basketball (16-12, 10-8 SAC) which finished the regular season seeded No. 4 in the Piedmont Division will begin its quest for a South Atlantic Conference Tournament title when it squares off in a quarterfinal game against the No. 1 seed in the Mountain Division, Carson-Newman (17-11, 12-6 SAC) tonight in Jefferson City, Tenn.

Anderson and Carson-Newman battled inside Holt Fieldhouse on February 11^th with the Eagles coming out on top, 81-75. The Trojans placed four players in double-figures while the Eagles placed two, including junior guard Braelyn Wykle's 44-point effort.

The Trojans and Eagles have met on 32 occasions with Carson-Newman holding the 19-12 advantage behind six wins in a row. The last Anderson win came inside Holt Fieldhouse on Feb. 1, 2020 when the Black and Gold won the double overtime thriller, 102-100.
