AUSTIN, TEXAS – Anderson University graduate student Harlie Duncan earned a spot on The 2021-22 Academic All-America® Softball Team, selected by CoSIDA, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.
Duncan graduated last year with a 4.0 in Biochemistry, while also posting a 4.0 as a graduate student. Just as impressive as the native of Tolono, Ill. was in the classroom, Duncan has had an outstanding 2022 campaign on the field.
In the circle, Duncan posted an overall record of 18-4 and earned All-Region honors from the NFCA and D2CCA. Duncan broke AU's All-Time Career Win record with 66 total victories in the circle for her career.
The CoSIDA Academic All-America® program separately recognizes softball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA. First-team Academic All-District® honorees advanced to the CoSIDA Academic All-America® ballot.
The Division II and III CoSIDA Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CoSIDA with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2021-22 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CoSIDA Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA national office.
