LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Anderson University trio, Kayson Boatner, Laken Maxwell and Harlie Duncan landed on both the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) and the Division II CCA (D2CCA) All-Region Teams with Boatner also being named to the NFCA All-America First Team, announced today by the association.

The National Fastpitch Coaches Association and the D2CCA revealed their Division II All-Region teams in early May, with the First-Team moving on to the All-America nomination ballot. The NFCA All-America teams were set to be announced today, while the D2CCA will be revealed next week.

Anderson University swept the (D2CCA) Region Pitcher and Player of the Year honors. Laken Maxwell was named Southeast Region Pitcher of the Year, while Player of the Year honors went to Kayson Boatner. At the time of voting, Maxwell was 20-5 with a 1.86 ERA and 236 strikeouts over 158 innings this season. Playing first base, Boatner was hitting .444 adding 23 home runs, 47 runs and 63 RBIs. Graduate Harlie Duncan capped off her impressive career posting an 18-4 overall record and being voted to All-Southeast Region Second Team in both associations.

Boatner finished her stellar senior season with First-Team All-America status. The Trojans first baseman finished the season batting .445 with 21 doubles, 1 triple and 23 home runs. Boatner's season slugging percentage was a staggering 1.006. Over the course of the season, Boatner was named SAC Player of the Week – 2 times, NFCA National Player of the Week – 3 times, SAC First-Team, SAC Player of the Year, NFCA All-Region First Team, D2CCA All-Region First Team, D2CCA Region Player of the Year, NFCA Top and Top 25 Player of the Year Watchlist, Anderson University Female Athlete of the Year and NFCA All-America First Team.

Maxwell polished off her sophomore season with a 21-6 overall record. The native of Bowdon, Ga., pitched a total of 168.2 innings, posting a 1.87 ERA. Maxwell allowed 99 hits while striking out 248 batters on the season. Maxwell was named the SAC Pitcher of the Week on four occasions, SAC First Team, SAC Pitcher of the Year, NFCA All-Region, D2CCA All-Region, D2CCA Region Pitcher of the Year, NFCA Top 50 Pitcher of the Year Watchlist an Anderson University Scholar Athlete of the Year.

Duncan capped off a tremendous career posting an 18-4 overall record. The native of Tolono, Ill., pitched 146.0 innings, while striking out 102 batters. Duncan made 27 appearances and posted a 2.59 ERA.
