ROCK HILL, S.C. – Anderson University senior Morgan Charter and freshman Maddie Carpenter earned South Atlantic Conference Softball All-Tournament, released by the league office on Tuesday afternoon.
Top-seeded Anderson defeated No. 8 Limestone, 7-5, before falling to host and No. 4 Lincoln Memorial, 4-3, in the semifinals.
For the tournament, Charter batted .571 with a double, two RBI and three runs scored, while Carpenter batted .400 with a triple, two RBI and one run scored.
Anderson is currently ranked No. 1 in the Southeast Ranking with a new poll scheduled to come out Wednesday and the final rankings revealed on Monday, May 9th (10am).
