MOUNT OLIVE, NC--Singles by Amber Suthlerland and Meredith Knox helped the Lady Trojans from Anderson University load the bases in the top of the fifth inning on Saturday in the first game of a doubleheader against Mount Olive College, but Sarah Saunders struckout AU sophomore Lyndsey Huitt, collecting one of her 8 K's on the day to end the Lady Trojans' threat and give Mount Olive the short 8-0 victory. AU jumped out early in game two, as senior Kayla Williams pummeled a 1-out fastball out of the park, driving in Brooke Lucas to the Lady Trojans the 2-0 lead. But two passed balls in the home half of the first let Mount Olive right back in the game, and the other Trojans would capitalize to tie the game, eventually winning with a run in the fourth and 2 runs in the sixth. AU will stay in North Carolina as they head to Wilson, NC for another Conference Carolinas doubleheader at Barton College, looking to improve on their 3-5 league record heading down the stretch to the conference tournament at Coker.
