THOMASVILLE, N.C. -- Gabor Boczonadi of Anderson College (3-3 overall, 3-0 CVAC) has been selected as the NCAA Division II Carolinas-Virginia Athletics Conference (CVAC) men's tennis Player of the Week. Boczonadi is a sophomore from Budapest, Hungary who helped lead the Trojans to a 3-0 record for the week. The Trojans opened the season against three teams picked to be near the top of the CVAC standings -- Lees-McRae, Mount Olive, and Barton. Boczonadi won all three singles matches in straight sets. Of the three doubles wins, the biggest was the victory over the nationally ranked team from Lees-McRae. Boczonadi is unbeaten in conference play at the #1 singles slot and #2 doubles spot while maintaining a 3-1 overall singles record and a 3-2 overall doubles record.
