Trojans Take Top Three Singles To Beat Barton

zBANDERSON, S.C. - The Anderson College men's tennis team won two of three doubles then swept the top three singles matches on its way to a 6-3 victory over Barton College Sunday afternoon at the Max Grubbs Memorial Courts. Anderson, 3-3 overall and 3-0 in the CVAC, did suffer its first doubles loss in CVAC play at No. 1 as Barton's John Marte and Brent Ching beat Karan Doctor and Daniel Pollock 8-5. But the Trojans lost just 13 games in the top three singles spots and got a three-set victory from Carlos Sanches at No. 5 singles to earn their third conference victory in five days. Anderson head coach Brett Simpson is now 49-3 in CVAC play. Barton now stands at 1-3, 1-1. Doubles - John Marte-Brent Ching (B) d.
