Trojans Beat North Georgia, 3-1

DAHLONEGA, Ga. - Anderson University scored three second-half goals to beat North Georgia 3-1 in a non-conference match Saturday afternoon. The victory improves Anderson to 7-9 overall. The Trojans have scored 14 goals in their last two matches. After a scoreless first half, Anderson's Jon Scott scored the game's first goal following a corner kick from Jordan Kelly. The ball was knocked around the box, and after a volley Douglas Nyame, Scott punched the ball into the net in the 47th minute for a 1-0 Anderson lead. The Trojans added a second goal, just four minutes later, when Michael Zion one-timed a cross from Dave Taylor. The cross came from the right side in the 51st minute for a 2-0 Anderson lead. Anderson scored their third goal of the match after a foul on Champ Young in the box led to penalty kick by Stephon Henry in the 68th minute. Jeremy Bouasy scored the lone North Georgia goal in the 81st minute when he knocked home a flick from fellow forward to Eddie Collins to trim the lead to 3-1.
