GREENEVILLE, Tenn. - The Anderson University men's golf team posted a two-day total 593 and finished seventh at the Tusculum College Spring Invitational, which was held Saturday and Sunday at the par-71, 6,763 yard Link Hills Country Club.
Lincoln Memorial (282-292=574) took the team title by five shots over runner-up Milligan (286-293= 579) and six strokes over the host Pioneers (290-590=580). Carson-Newman (291-290=581) finished fourth and Walters State Community College (291-292=583) finished one stroke ahead of Tennessee Wesleyan (291-293=584). Anderson (291-302=593) earned seventh, four shots head of Limestone (297-300=597)
Junior Sean Shelton (70-76=146) and senior John Moore (73-73=146) each carded a two-day four-over par146 to share 20th place, while junior Arran Setro (73-74=147) was one stroke further back in a three-way tie for 24th.
Sophomore C.J. Messana (75-81=156) carded a two-day 14-over par and finished in a tie for 68th and freshman Rob Warren (79-79=158) finished in a tie for 79th.
Anderson returns to the links on March 25-26, at the J. Ralph Hargett Memorial, hosted at the Olde Sycamore Golf Plantation in Charlotte, N.C.
