KANNAPOLIS, N.C. - The final round of the Irish Creek Intercollegiate has been cancelled due to inclement weather, with Anderson University junior Arran Setro claiming third place with his 1-over-par-72.
The Trojans finished 11th at the 6,971-yard, par 71 event, hosted by Pfeiffer University at The Club at Irish Creek.
Setro finished in a two-way tie for third with Limestone's Cody Clepper, just four shots behind Brevard's Kim Koivu, who posted a 3-under-par 68 to win the event.
Erskine's Brad Thorne finished second following an opening-round 71.
Anderson senior John Moore fired a 6-over-par 77 and finished in an eight-way tie for 24th, while Payden Parrish carded a 79 to share 44th. Sophomore Jon David Ozmint was 87th after a first-round 93.
Belmont Abbey's B squad (293) won the 15-team field by three shots over Brevard (296) and was four strokes in front of Erskine (300) and Queens (300) which tied for third. The Trojans (321) were four shots ahead of Mars Hill (325) and trailed Capital University (319) and Sand Hills Community College (319) by two strokes.
The Trojans return to action at Catawba's Richard Rendleman Memorial on March 4-5.
