GREENEVILLE, Tenn. - The Anderson University men's golf team notched a ninth-place finish at the 19th annual Tusculum Invitational, hosted at the par 71, 6,733-yard Link Hills Country Club.
Junior John Moore (72-73=145) finished in a tie for 12th, while sophomore Sean Shelton (71-80=151) slipped on the final day to finish tied for 38th. Senior Chase Epting (76-77=153) closed out the tourney two shots further back, in a tie for 48th, with freshman CJ Messana (72-83=155) finishing in a tie for 58th. Sophomore Arran Setro (80-78=158) rounded out the Trojan contingent in a tie for 76th.
Wingate University freshman Antoine LeSaux took home individual medalist honors -his first collegiate tournament title - firing a final round four-under par 67 to win the individual title by two shots.
Tusculum College won the team title by five shots over the Bulldogs, who entered the final round tied for the lead.
The Trojans return to action on March 19-20 at Wingate's Pinehurst Challenge at the National Golf club in Pinehurst, N.C.
